Li GLA, developed based on cell membrane molecular profiles, is a dietary supplement in the form of a ready-to-drink liquid emulsion containing GLA (125.5 mg/10 mL) from borage oil. Following cellular metabolism of GLA, an omega-6 fatty acid (DGLA) is formed, a precursor to prostaglandins of the 1st series (PGE-1), known for their anti-inflammatory activity and immune function control.
Li GLA contains:
Omega-6 from borage seed oil: 20% concentrated GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Borage helps support the integrity and function of cell membranes and skin trophism and function.
Sunflower lecithin: natural emulsifier that enhances the bioavailability of lipid active ingredients for cellular structures.
Vitamin C: A water-soluble antioxidant that works synergistically with vitamin E to trap free radicals. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal skin function. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin E : The main lipophilic cellular antioxidant, with a specific action against lipid peroxidation and preservation of polyunsaturated fats in the body. Vitamins C and E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Alpha-lipoic acid: thiol compound with biological oxidation-reduction functions and a synergistic mechanism with other antioxidants.
